LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jeff Bezos and his fiance Lauren Sanchez celebrated their engagement on Wednesday, August 2, in a lavish fashion. The couple flew to Italy with their close friends and had a fun party on their $500M yacht, but one question that was doing the rounds was ‘When is the big day?’ They went public with their romantic relationship in January 2019, soon after the Amazon founder separated from his wife MacKenzie Scott.
A close acquaintance of the couple shared during their engagement in May, "They are really in love and happy which makes everyone who knows them happy." The source told People, "They have been talking about it for a long time. All of her friends say this is her dream come true. She found the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with and they felt the time was right."

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez got engaged in May and recently celebrated with a yacht party in Italy. But, the duo is in no rush to move it forward. “They're not planning the wedding yet," claimed a source present at the party hosted on billionaire’s $500m yacht on Amalfi Coast. “They’re still just enjoying the engagement and they had an amazing time with close friends [at the party]," the source added.
Lauren shared some incredible pictures from the special evening, and captioned, Seeing double after the most magical evening. Forever grateful. In an interview earlier this year, Sanchez candidly talked about Bezos, “Makes me laugh all the time, and can be goofy." "We love to be together and we love to work together," she shared, she shared with WSJ Magazine.
'It's going to continue to help people'
The two are enthusiastic about 'Bezos Earth Fund,' an initiative they launched to curb climate change, "You want to give money away and you want to know that it's helping people and it's going to continue to help people and that it's going to the right places," Sanchez told the media outlet.
Earlier, Bezos also talked about his philanthropy plans, “The hard part is figuring out how to do it in a levered way. It’s not easy. Building Amazon was not easy. It took a lot of hard work, a bunch of very smart teammates, hard-working teammates, and I’m finding — and I think Lauren is finding the same thing — that charity, philanthropy, is very similar.”
