Who won Sean O'Malley vs Aljamain Sterling? Tristan Tate congratulates 'champ' for UFC bantamweight title victory

BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Recently a UFC match between Sean O'Malley and Aljamain Sterling took place for the title of UFC bantamweight.

At UFC 292, O'Malley defeated Sterling via second-round technical knockout to win the bantamweight title.

The younger Tate sibling, Tristan Tate, congratulated O'Malley, popularly known as 'Suga' on winning the belt on platform 'X' (previously known as Twitter) while also congratulating his opponent.

Tristan Tate congratulated Sean O'Malley

O'Malley posted a video of the two boxers locking eyes as Bruce Buffer introduced them. In the tweet's caption, he wrote, "I feel underestimated in every fight and I love it."

Tate commented on the tweet and said, "Both of you are awesome, but congrats on the win champ."

While in Abu Dhabi for UFC 280, O'Malley met Andrew Tate; it is unknown if he also met Tristan.

On his podcast, TimboSugarShow, he spoke on the arrest of the Tate brothers and stated, "They're clearly intelligent in some ways. If they were making bread, and they were doing it illegally, I don't think they would be on the internet as much, talking as much, as they do. Putting theirselves out there so much if everything wasn't f**king just good."

He claimed that Tristan Tate is encouraging students to not be sensitive and that his podcast was not as horrible as it had been portrayed to be.

In Ilfov County, the Tate brothers are currently under judicial supervision while they wait to stand trial for rape, human trafficking, and organizing a gang.

They had already served more than four months on house arrest and three months in jail.

Dana White highlighted Sean O'Malley's success

Sean O'Malley has been vocal about his aim to become the biggest star in the UFC, much like Conor McGregor.

At the UFC 292 post-fight news conference, Dana White, UFC president, spoke about Suga's success. He said, "We broke the all-time gate record here. Bruce Springsteen just played here and did $5 million. We did over $7 million. The [TD] Garden."

He continued, "We're the biggest thing other than - the craziest f**king sports town on Earth - other than their team that plays here, we're the biggest thing that's ever been here so what does that tell you about O'Malley?"

"This is also the biggest bantamweight championship fight ever on pay-per-view globally. It broke the record. Biggest bantamweight championship fight ever. I'm sure you saw the crowd at the end. O'Mally isn't going to be a star. He IS a star," he further added.

Even though O'Malley had already established himself as a celebrity before winning the bantamweight title, he now intends to further his notoriety.

In his first championship defense, he indicated an interest in taking on Marlon 'Chito' Vera.
