Who is Lori Milliron? Mistress of Lawrence Rudolph, who shot wife dead on safari, sentenced to 17 years in prison

DENVER, COLORADO: The 65-year-old mistress of wealthy dentist Lawrence "Larry" Rudolph, who was found guilty of fatally shooting his wife on a safari in 2016, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison. Last year, a federal jury found Lori Milliron to be guilty of accessory to murder and obstruction of justice in connection to the killing of Lawrence’s wife Bianca Rudolph.

Lawrence allegedly shot Bianca, the mother of his two children, in the chest while they were away on a hunting trip in Zambia in October 2016. The Pennsylvania dentist initially claimed that his wife accidentally shot herself while she was packing to head back home. Following Bianca’s death, he fraudulently collected $4.8 million in insurance benefits to begin a new life with Milliron. After an FBI investigation, Rudolph was charged with his wife's murder in 2021. In August 2022, Rudolph was found guilty of Bianca’s murder and mail fraud following a trial that took place in Denver, Colorado. He was scheduled to be sentenced this week but the hearing got postponed due to unavoidable reasons.

‘Lori, you have taken my parents’

During Milliron’s sentence hearing on Friday, June 23, she claimed to be innocent of the charges but the judge ruled that the lengthy sentence was warranted in light of the evidence showing that she encouraged the heinous act. The court criticized Milliron for appearing remorseless during the trial, which featured gruesome photographs and the Rudolph family's heart-breaking testimonies. In addition, Milliron was found guilty of providing false testimony and deceiving a grand jury about the amount of money and the nature of her relationship with Rudolph, according to Daily Mail.

According to Milliron's attorney John Dill, the prison term was "excessive" for the allegations against her. He also announced that he will file an appeal. While testifying in court, Bianca's children described how their family was ruined by their father's mistress. Ana Rudolph, Bianca's daughter, stated that Milliron had "plotted to eliminate" her mother. "Lori, you have taken my parents, but despite everything you have done you will never take my soul," Ana said, adding, "This might be difficult to understand ... because you don't have one."

'I killed my f**king wife for you!’

Last summer, a three-week-long trial was held in Denver, Colorado where Rudolph was found guilty of murder and mail fraud. Ruling the verdict, a jury of six men and six women agreed with the prosecution's argument that the dentist had plotted to kill his 57-year-old wife in cold blood in order to start a new life with Milliron. During the trial, Rudolph even revealed that he had an open marriage with his late wife since 2000. "I did not kill my wife. I could not murder my wife. I would not murder my wife," Rudolph told jurors. The prosecutors later told jurors that when Rudolph heard that the FBI was investigating the murder, he screamed, "I killed my f**king wife for you!" at Milliron during an argument in 2020. Despite the defense’s argument, a jury found him guilty of the murder and he currently awaits his sentencing.
