LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: A Las Vegas man, identified as 43-year-old John Anthony Miller, is now facing federal charges over a series of violent and antisemitic threats he allegedly made to an unnamed Nevada Senator.

The threats, which have sent shockwaves through the community and garnered nationwide attention, included derogatory language and a disturbing vow to "finish what Hitler started."

According to a newly unsealed criminal complaint, one of the threatening voicemails left by Miller on October 17 contained the following remarks, "You done picked your side, b****, and you done chose evil. I don't give a f*** if you were born into it or not, b****, you are f***ing evil, and we're gonna exterminate you."

Senator Jacky Rosen was John Anthony Miller's apparent target

While the legislator's identity is not explicitly disclosed in the complaint, Jacky Rosen, a Democrat, is Nevada's only Jewish Senator. In response to inquiries, Senator Rosen's office confirmed that she was indeed the target of Miller's menacing voicemails.

A spokesperson for the senator emphasized the seriousness of such threats against public officials, saying, "Threats against public officials should be taken seriously," to The Daily Beast.

They added, "Senator Rosen trusts the U.S. Attorney’s office and federal law enforcement to handle this matter."

John Anthony Miller's public defender, Ben Nemec, refrained from commenting on the case at this time.

The threats began on October 11, just four days after the Israel-Hamas conflict erupted. The complaint outlines how Miller's calls grew increasingly hostile over the following week, culminating in a series of aggressive voicemails on October 17.

"All these f***ing lies is in your f***ing hands, you f***ing b****, and I’m gonna f***ing see you soon, you f***ing sellout f***ing fa***t b****," said Miller in one voicemail.

He asserted, "You just f***ing woken up a motherf***ing monster, you f***ing piece of s**t unhuman, subhuman, you’re vermin, b****, you are vermin, b****, and we’re gonna finish what Hitler started you f***ing s**t," in one more voicemail.

John Anthony Miller's public outburst at federal courthouse

Disturbingly, on October 18 John Anthony Miller appeared at the federal courthouse on Las Vegas Boulevard, where Senator Jacky Rosen's office is located. He declared his intention to see the senator and presented an ID card with the last name "Miller."

When a court security officer sought further identification, he allegedly refused and, at that point, "became agitated and started yelling and shouting profanities, including, '[K]ill every last Israeli terror-f***ing-rist,' while walking on Las Vegas Boulevard," according to the complaint.

The threats continued with a new set of menacing voicemails left at the Senator's office the following day. In one of these messages, Miller inquired about the her family members, insinuating connections to Israeli settlers and accusing them of "savage" actions and "war crimes."

"She lets her own family members kill these Palestinians in the West Bank," allegedly ranted Miller in one voicemail.

He also stated, "The Christians in the West Bank. Senator, I'm sorry to say, but ya know what, you're a piece of s***, and you're gonna burn in f***ing hell for your f***ing crimes. You think you're not f***ing complicit, b****? You're gonna burn in hell, b****, and me and Jesus are gonna piss on you, b****."

On October 24, Miller reportedly continued his campaign of threats, leaving yet another set of unhinged voicemails, this time from an unidentified number. However, the complaint notes that the "voice and pattern of speech matched that of Miller's prior voicemails."

In one, he even stated, “Watch, b****, you’re [sic] whole f***ing family’s in danger, b****."

Arrest and detainment

Following these troubling incidents, John Anthony Miller was arrested and subsequently appeared in Las Vegas federal court on Friday, October 27.

He has been formally charged with threatening a federal official and has been ordered to be detained, pending his next hearing scheduled for November 13.

If convicted, Miller could face up to a year behind bars.
