'Mommy blogging' was all the rage online in the early 2000s as women transformed parenting with their online tips. Many mothers exposed their personal hardships while enthralling audiences with their open advice and discoveries; one such mother was prominent blogger Heather Armstrong, who unfortunately died earlier this week.

1. Emily Beth McDonald
In April 2011, McDonald received a 20-year prison sentence after being found spreading human waste on her three-year-old daughter's IV catheter. McDonald, a 25-year-old Texas resident from Austin, had pleaded guilty to second-degree child harm and didn't shed a single tear throughout the hearing.
According to her attorney, McDonald was experiencing "extreme psychological stress" at the time, which was exacerbated by exhaustion and sadness.
2. Rebeccah Beushausen
Rebeccah Beushausen, a Chicago resident, started a blog called 'Little One April Rose' where she claimed to be an unmarried mother who, motivated by her fervent Christian beliefs, decided against aborting her critically sick kid.
Later, She was revealed as a con artist after pretending to be carrying a kid who was going to die.
3. Lacey Spears
On her blog, Garnett's Journey, Lacey Spears of Chestnut Ridge, New York, chronicled her baby son's ongoing medical battles for years. The child was alleged to have experienced a number of unexplained medical illnesses, including ear infections, symptoms resembling seizures, stomach problems, and more.
She was convicted of killing her five-year-old son by poisoning him with a lot of salt. Prosecutors asserted during Spears' trial that there was proof she failed to share information amongst her son's 20 different doctors despite taking him to those institutions on a regular basis.
4. Machelle Hobson
Machelle Hobson was charged with starving and assaulting her seven adoptive children in order to make them appear in YouTube videos. The mommy vlog featured her seven adopted children, who ranged in age from six to fifteen, acting out a variety of imaginative scripted experiences, frequently featuring Nerf fights, and concluding with the kids urging viewers to "like and subscribe."
Hobson was injured in a Pinal County prison after being arrested in 2019, and after being transported to a nearby hospital, her health did not get any better. After weeks of her health failing, she died in Scottsdale Hospital.
5. Jordan Cheyenne
In 2021, a YouTube influencer by the name of Jordan Cheyenne was 'canceled' as a result of criticism about a video in which she instructed her son to weep for the camera. Cheyenne informed viewers in the offending video, captioned "we are heartbroken," that her family's new puppy had been diagnosed with parvovirus, a condition that may be fatal for dogs who have not had vaccinations.
She is seen instructing her kid to smile for the camera as he sobs toward the conclusion of the video, which she probably planned to clip out.
