What did Deborah Roberts say about Covid-19? 'GMA' star recalls her 'pandemic struggles' in Instagram post

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ anchor Deborah Roberts has recently opened up about the challenges she endured during the Covid-19 pandemic that ravaged the world for over two years as its repercussions continue to escalate. The 62-year-old reflected on the toll that the Covid-19 pandemic took on people worldwide in a new post on Instagram.

Roberts remembered the harrowing time in her extended post which captured the horrors of shooting and working in the pandemic. The post had a string of photos with Deborah getting ready for the shoot, anchoring inside her place and then outside on the street with proper precautions. One of the photos shows Deborah covering her mouth with her hand and turning her face to the side while her producer fixed her mic. But with all the photos, Deborah shared a message with her followers.

What did Deborah Roberts say about the pandemic?

Deborah mostly shared behind-the-scenes of her reporting live for 'GMA' when the pandemic was in full swing on her Instagram. While one snap showed her covering her mouth, other snaps captured her being filmed for a morning show segment from home, a selfie which had a funky patterned face mask that shielded her from exposure to the virus, and another right outside the offices of GMA. She posted the pictures in honor of the Instagram weekly holiday Throwback Thursday, the day of each week when users post old photos to remember specific times of their lives.

Deborah disclosed the devastating nature of the pandemic through her Instagram caption as she wrote, "Thursday thoughts. Hard to believe just 3 years ago, this was July. Struggling to keep@our distance, live reporting from the street, or at home…only…searching for that chic mask. And no sense of FOMO since we were all stranded in similar ways. So, I’m wondering…are you much happier at this moment or did you leave something valuable behind?” After her post, many fans shared her sentiment and blurted their experiences with the pandemic in the comment section.

‘I still wear a mask inside places’

Deborah’s post received a lot of comments from her followers. One user wrote, “I still wear a mask inside places. I have two health concerns. Hashimoto's disease and now asthma!!,” while another stated, “I am saddened by how careless people were and still are.” A third added, "I realize that there was much hardship and loss for others and I am truly sorry for that,” while a fourth said, “It just took such a toll on mental health and it escalated addiction! Along with all the people that lost their lives and discovering how hateful and self-centered people are, it was such a depressing time!” It’s clear that even though the pandemic is over that doesn’t mean that America or anyone is no longer susceptible to it anymore.
