LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mathew Knowles, 71, the record executive and father of music superstar Beyonce, recently revealed how he encouraged his daughter to explore various hobbies in order to discover her true passion. He emphasized the importance of allowing children to naturally gravitate toward their own interests while they are growing up. Alongside Beyonce, Mathew is also the father to actress Solange, whom he had with his ex-wife Tina Knowles.
"I hope we taught by example," Mathew exclusively told Us Weekly. The music manager made it a priority to expose his daughters to a wide range of hobbies and career paths. He believed in providing them with diverse experiences and opportunities to help them explore their interests and passions. "We’d take them to NASA, we would take them to science fairs, we’d take them to a library," he said, adding, "We’d take them to sporting events [and] entertainment, and we wanted to see what they gravitated towards."

Ultimately, Mathew acknowledged that it was the realm of entertainment that truly captivated his daughters. By encouraging them to genuinely discover their passions, he believes he played a significant role in helping them achieve their fullest potential as artists. "One day, you’re gonna go to your passion and you try to do that sooner than later," he explained.
