LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Today’ host Carson Daly crashed co-host Savannah Guthrie’s outdoor summer segment while he tried to pick up a tray of drinks glued to the table. Guthrie was introducing an outdoor edition of Shop All Day alongside contributor Alejandro Ramos.
Guthrie, 51, hosted a shopping segment about summer outdoor entertaining essentials and was joined by contributor Alejandro Ramos. Ramos had plenty of wares to show off and shared some of her must-haves for summer entertaining. While Guthrie and Ramos were introducing the summer edition, co-host Carson Daly crashed her segment as he tried to pick up a tray of drinks that was glued down to the table.

Carson Daly got glued down
On Thursday, May 25, ‘Today’ broadcast, host Savannah Guthrie shared a bunch of summer cools with guest Alejandro Ramos. While both were talking about the Corckcicle Chillsner which keeps the drinks cool, Daly was around and joined them. Guthrie asked, “Why didn’t they invent this years ago?” She was fascinated, “That’s amazing!” After that, they moved toward the next product which was a 90-ounce Cha Cha Pitcher from Crate and Barrel. As Guthrie tried to pick up the pitcher, she realized she couldn’t because it was glued. Ramos exclaimed to clueless Guthrie, "It's a little windy out here today, we don't want the Cha Cha pitcher to go flying”. In response, Guthrie’s jokingly said, "We don't want the pitcher to go Cha Cha-ing away!"
While they continued to look over other items on Ramos’s list, Carson cut off the women and crashed the segment. He walked over and tried to pick up one of the drinks on a tray, only to find they were glued down to the table. He looked annoyed while trying to pick up the drink. Guthrie explained, “It’s glued down, Carson!” Anyway, he took the tray and walked away. Guthrie frustratingly asked, “Carson, what’s going on?” as he moved on to the next segment on his own.
Carson Daly’s comeback
Carson Daly took a bit of time off from the ‘Today’ show for another TV hosting gig. He was absent from the ‘Today’ show as he was still in Los Angeles for ‘The Voice' finale episode to support his best friend and co-star Blake Shelton. The episode also bid farewell to Blake as he left the show after 23 seasons. After Daly returned to the show, he talked about the big farewell episode as he hosted a PopStart pop culture segment. He tossed a few sarcastic jabs at his friend Blake and joked, “We’ll start today with Blake Shelton. More with Blake? Don’t you have enough press, cowboy?!” He also shared a sweet clip of ‘The Voice’ finale episode where he surprised Blake with a hilarious gift. He added, “And just like any other coach, when it's time to walk away from the game, throw in the towel, pack it in and call it a day, we commemorate this big moment like any other great American athlete. Buddy, it is time to retire the Blake Shelton Jean Jacket.”
The camera moved toward his jacket hanging up on the wall with his name, ‘The Voice’ and the season he had won all written on it. After the clip ended, Daly mocked with snarky comments saying, “He’s so old he kept telling me in that moment, he’s like, ‘What? Where is it? I can’t see it.’ He couldn’t see it!”
