Tafari Campbell: The 3 questions still unanswered in mysterious death of Obamas' personal chef

EDGARTOWN, MASSACHUSETTS: Tafari Campbell, the personal chef of two-time President Barack Obama died in an accident near the Martha’s Vineyard Estate of the Obama family while paddleboarding. The incident took place in late July in Massachusetts state, as per reports.

His body was found in a two-day search operation from the Edgartown Great Pond on the Massachusetts island on July 24. The resident of Dumfries is survived by his wife, Sherise, and their twin sons.

Who was the female paddle-boarded along with Tafari?

Many questions were left unanswered by the cops surrounding his death. One of them was the identity of the female paddleboarder who was with him at that time, and the identity of the 911 caller from Obama's home.

'The burden is on law enforcement to show how their investigation may be jeopardized by releasing certain information,” said Justin Silverman, executive director of the New England First Amendment Coalition. “And they're not doing that right now. This really flies in the face of Public Records Law.”

Conspiracy theorists claimed that the chef was writing a tell-all book on the Obamas before he was 'found with head trauma in 3 to 4 feet of water on the Obama estate.'

While criticizing the police silence on questions related to Tarari’s death, a local public safety source said, “I'm not sure what they're waiting for. I don't know if it's just the toxicology," before adding, “We're supposed to be transparent,'' the source said.

''This total drama to this, not giving out names, it's kind of horsesh*t. It's just dragging this out unnecessarily. What are we at, 10 days now? It's a drowning. It's unfortunate. In a coastal community, we've had a number of those over the years," the source said.

Meanwhile, the authorities maintain it was an accident, and the 45-year-old was with a woman paddle boarder who tried to save him.

Why did Martha's Vineyard police leave emergency call reason blank?

Among other suspicious circumstances surrounding the chef's death, leaving the official logs column blank has turned eyes. Martha's Vineyard police didn't fill in the reason for the emergency call in the register from the night of the incident.

It is reported that Barack and Michelle Obama were out of the house when the drowning happened. Though, it is not clear if their daughters Sasha, 25, and Malia, 22, were at home or not. The two were later seen flying off the island on Tuesday, August 17.

What did Barack Obama say about Tafari’s death?

In a statement following his death, the Obamas said Tafari Campbell was among the best chefs in the White House kitchen. “Tafari was a beloved part of our family.”

“When we first met him, he was a talented sous chef at the White House — creative and passionate about food, and its ability to bring people together. In the years that followed, we got to know him as a warm, fun, extraordinarily kind person who made all of our lives a little brighter,'" as per DailyMail.
