LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a new July 4 Instagram story she uploaded on her own account, Kim Kardashian appeared unrecognizable to her followers. In the middle of her feud with her sister, Kim was ridiculed for sharing a photo initially uploaded by a fan page dedicated to Kourtney Kardashian Barker.
Kim joined her half-sister, Kendall Jenner, and friends, Lori Harvey, Hailey Bieber, La La Anthony and Justine Skye, for an all-white fashion moment at Michael Rubin's Fourth of July party in The Hamptons on July 3. Harvey shared a video of the trio walking in a line towards the camera to Nicki Minaj's song 'Barbie World,' with Kim wearing a high-neck crop top with mesh panels and a matching figure-hugging skirt, along with a silver belly chain. To complete her outfit, the SKIMS founder wore her hair in a slicked-back bun and accessorized with a stack of gold bangles, massive rings and crystal earrings.

Kim Kardashian's controversial July 4 photo
The photo, which was originally posted on a fan page for Kourtney, showed the reality TV star posing in front of an American flag with platinum blonde hair, bleached brows and a straight face. Kim showed off her small waist in a tight white tank top tucked into the pockets of her long, loose pants, which she paired with black pointed shoes. Many fans would not have known it was her. After dyeing her hair from dark brown to platinum blonde for the Met Gala in 2022 and losing a lot of weight, Kim had ditched her old appearance a long time ago.
Kim drew attention to the huge shift in her appearance by releasing the photo following another July 4-themed shot of herself. Kim is featured in an older shot with her dark brown hair slicked back and wearing a low-cut bikini with the American flag on it. She is holding a red, white and blue popsicle, and looks right into the camera while wearing red, white, and blue jewelry. On top of the photo, people could see it led to a fan page called 'planetkourt' on Instagram.
'This is so tacky'
On a Reddit thread, a person wrote, "Why is Kim reposting a post from a Kourtney Fan page?" Another user said, "She's lurking Kourt's fan page in her huge loveless McMansion." Another person penned, "They create 80% of those pages themselves." A person joked, "She probably spit out any popsicle juice, can’t have those calories!!"
Another Reddit user wrote, "Kate Upton did it better." Yet another quipped, "This is so tacky." Throwing shade at Kim's alternative career choice, a person noted, "She could really lean into her prison reform work with something like "Remembering the birth of a nation built on liberty and justice for all". But no. Sucking on a bomb pop is the way she decided to go." Another user said, "Kim wants to be taken serious as a “future lawyer” but posting shif like this at 43."
