QUEBEC, CANADA: Adept's former 'Overwatch' teammate, Bamf, has leaked audio recordings, DMs, of the streamer allegedly using racial slurs and transphobic language. In the audio recordings, Adept seemingly claims to be focused on other things rather than her relationship with xQc.
This comes after Adept stated that she was married to xQc for three years before they separated. Fans of both streams disagree about whose version of events to trust because it contrasts with xQc's story.
‘Vile person’
Bamf, with whom Adept had previously played on an 'Overwatch' squad in 2017, refuted Adept's claim that she and xQc had been married for a long time. Bamf referred to Adept as a "vile person" and said she was allegedly cheating on her then-boyfriend while manipulating him for financial gain. Following Adept's on-stream denial of these accusations, Bamf reacted with screenshots showing the contentious broadcaster hurling racist epithets in Discord DMs. The exchange between Adept and Bamf has been fairly back-and-forth, and the DMs that were leaked were only made public after Adept responded to the first charges live.
The Twitter war
Beginning on June 1, 2023, Bamf accused Adept of being a "manipulator" in the past and called her a "vile person" for how she handled former relationships. “I used to be bestfriends with this vile person. I slowly tried to distance myself once I found out that she was using her last bf for money while cheating on him. I found it very odd how she always had to "casually" throw in her dates salary whenever explaining them,” Bamf tweeted.
She further added, “Trust me when I say that she is a manipulator who only cares about herself. I was hurt/confused at a time in which she did everything in her power to make me feel like I could trust her. I cannot tell you how many times I broke down in tears crying to someone I thought cared.”
A tape of what Bamfxo claims to be a discussion she had with Adept farther down the thread shows that she put substance before her friendship with xQc at the time. “This is the main part I decided to upload from the conversation. I hope that the statement alone shows you her intentions from the start and my credibility. I dont like that it came down to doing this but I rly had no other way to prove she was lying,” she said.
Since this Twitter thread was made public on June 1, Adept has replied by holding a lengthy broadcast that lasted over two hours in an effort to refute these claims. As a result, the streamer has leveled several accusations against Bamfxo.
‘Revenge porn’
Adept alleged that Bamf posted "revenge porn" of other team members, as per Dexerto. She also claimed that Bamf actively pursued other men while dating a professional League of Legends player. Adept also displayed screenshots from a gaming account that she claims to be Bamf's other one. Alleged transphobic remarks were seen in these screenshots posted by the streamer. Adept also had Marla, a coworker of theirs who was on the roster, support her and denied Bamf's allegations.
Since then, Bamf has reacted to the stream with a number of videos of DMs that were sent in the past, many of which showed Adept allegedly using racist and transphobic insults.
