NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ host Robin Roberts announced a piece of major career news as she launched an ABC News Studio production unit recently.
The 62-year-old, who just returned from her honeymoon in Curacao, took to Instagram to share the news with her followers, informing them about the formation of this new unit.
Roberts took a screenshot of an article by Variety about her new career move and posted it on her Instagram handle.

Roberts is ecstatic about heading a new ABC News Studios production unit which will allow her to head new projects and give her more news to cover.
The purpose of the production unit is to tell more “new” and “compelling” stories and generate more content for streaming platforms such as Disney+ and Hulu.
Roberts captioned her post, “Incredibly grateful for the creation of this unit. My wonderful team and I are looking forward to sharing new and compelling stories with you in a wide range of formats.”
This dive into the world of exploring new and interesting stories will see Roberts take a new role.
The ‘GMA’ star will not only be doing the morning show but expanding on the opportunity to reach out to wider audiences with stories that are usually missed on her usual show.
Roberts’ colleagues and peers were excited about this development and congratulated the newly-wed host in the comments.
Actress Jennifer Garner appreciated the new venture and wrote, "Congratulations, Robin! What a wonderful time for you (and Sweet Amber). I'm happy for you xx.”
Co-host Gio Benitez also wrote a message of congratulations, exclaiming, "YES. YES. YES," with a flame emoji, while Rebecca Jarvis commented, "Oh, yes!!!" with a raised hands and heart emoji.

‘GMA’ host Robin Roberts denied honeymoon suite in Curacao
The ‘GMA’ star shared a few snaps from her honeymoon stating that she was denied the honeymoon suite at her resort. The suite instead went to a couple celebrating their 30th anniversary.
Roberts wasn’t angry but instead happily clicked a photo with the said couple and shared it on her profile.
Meanwhile, she and wife Amber Laign also met a couple who got married on September 8 in New York near their wedding venue happened to be at the same resort as Roberts and Laign.
Roberts captioned her post, “What a small world! We met Paige & Andrew who also got married on Sept 8…in CT very near our wedding venue…and we also happened to choose the same resort for our honeymoons!!”
She continued, “Neither of us got to stay in the honeymoon suite. Swipe and you’ll see the reason why. Ed & Phyllis chose it to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary!”
