LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The sudden death of Matthew Perry on Saturday, October 28, left many people in shock, especially those who knew him well.

The 'Friends' star was in a "good place in his life", according to sources, TMZ reports.

Matthew Perry had moved to his new home just three weeks before his death

The outlet, citing a source, said, “He [Matthew Perry] had just moved into his new house three weeks ago and was loving the new digs."

Besides being happy with his new home, he also had a lot going on in Hollywood.

The report stated Matthew had "recently committed to acting in a new movie, a drama, and he was also working on other projects and coming up with ideas for scripts."

It said Matthew who played the iconic Chandler Bing on 'Friends' had "never been happier" before his sudden death.

Matthew Perry was sober and content with his life

The outlet noted that Perry was "optimistic, and sober and felt content."

TMZ earlier reported that he was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi at Riviera near his home in Pacific Palisades after playing two hours of pickleball.

The cause of his death is still unknown, but there is no evidence if it was related to his past struggles with substance abuse, which many think may be the case.

Perry was famous for playing Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom 'Friends' which ran from 1994 to 2004.

He also appeared in other shows and movies such as 'The Odd Couple', '17 Again', and 'The Whole Nine Yards.'

Matthew Perry's death remains a mystery

Although Matthew Perry has been open about his struggle with substance abuse, reports emerge that he has been sober even as no illicit drugs were found at his home.

Matthew had been playing pickleball before his death and had reportedly sent his assistant to run some errands.

However, the internet has been speculating that his death has some connections with his recent cryptic posts on Instagram.

In a 15-second 911 call recording, a man who claimed to be Perry's assistant was heard saying, “Agent 23. Rescue 23. EMS 9 on the radio. In response to the drowning.” Other bits of the 16-minute clip were bleeped out.
