DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy who killed her three children by strangling them with exercise bands while experiencing postpartum psychosis reportedly looked into "ways to kill", according to court documents.

Recently released search warrant affidavits provided the most recent information in the graphic murder case against the 33-year-old mother.

Clancy allegedly strangled her three children — 8-month-old Callan, Dawson, 3, and Cora, 5 — on January 24 with workout bands inside the Duxbury house she shared with her husband.

In mid-September, a grand jury in Plymouth indicted Clancy on three charges of strangulation and murder.

Lindsay Clancy documented her 'mental state and her feelings about her children'

According to the uncensored affidavit, obtained by Daily Mail, Clancy would journal about her mental health and thoughts for children while also "researching ways to kill."

The records didn't provide any further information regarding how they discovered the information, nor did they disclose any specific search terms or phrases.

The affidavits also reveal that prior to jumping out of the second-story window, Clancy had resorted to self-harm with "a large blood covered kitchen knife."

Clancy's devoted spouse Patrick Clancy believes that the "over-the-top" combination of medications that she was administered for her severe postpartum depression is also to blame for the disaster.

The Boston Globe reported citing the document, "Ms. Clancy used her cellular telephone and her journal to document her mental state and her feelings about her children, in addition to keeping track of her medications, and researching ways to kill, which means that [it] is reasonable to conclude that Ms. Clancy would have used all formats and tools available to her including a tablet."

On January 25, the agents removed antidepressant bottles containing amitriptyline, trazodone, and diazepam from Clancy's residence. She had received prescriptions for all three in the previous 16 days.

Kevin J Reddington, Clancy's attorney, previously testified before a judge that the medications she had taken made her feel like a "zombie."

The full atrocity is revealed in a terrifying audio recording of Patrick's 911 dispatch call from that evening.

Before jumping from her home window, Clancy is thought to have injured herself, causing wounds and lacerations on her wrists.

According to the Boston Herald, authorities used the affidavits to obtain access to Clancy's electronic devices, which included her laptops, iPad, and mobile phone.

Internet users call it 'crazy' for Lindsay Clancy to research 'ways to kill'

Social media users were enraged over the uncensored reports that stated that Clancy researched "ways to kill" before strangling her 3 kids to death.

Internet users took to Reddit's open forum platform True Crime Discussion and shared their respective views on the recently released reports.

One Reddit user wrote, "It freaks me out how typical her day was. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve discussed stool softeners for my toddlers and then asked my husband to get takeout on his way home."

A second Reddit user added, "People, especially women, need to stop looking at this thru the lens of their own feelings/ experience. Just because you had PPD doesn’t mean she did. The evidence shows she had premeditation.

"She had the ability to function and plan. I also feel that people use the term PPD to cover much more than the actual psychiatric diagnosis. I saw someone say they suffered from PPD because they felt fat after having their baby."

A third Reddit user said, "I agree. This case is very different from others. Lindsay was being given a lot of support and could’ve reached out for help yet she researched the murders and was very deliberate about deceiving her husband. The window she threw herself out of wasn’t very high, so clearly she didn’t research her own death the way she did the kids’."

Another Internet user took to X (formerly Twitter) to exclaim, "That's crazy"

"Pre-meditated, not psychosis," stated another X user.
