'Tongue can taste the difference'
During a recent podcast episode titled "Why Coke Tastes Better at McDonald's," Segura stated, "We all know it that formula at McDonald's why that's the best tasting Coke and diet coke on the planet." Rogan questioned, "Why?" He then researched about why Cola-Cola tastes better at McDonalds.
He said, "Typically restaurants get their soda syrups in plastic bags but Coca-Cola does something different." McDonald's gets their Coke syrup delivered in stainless steel tanks. According to The New York Times, the material keeps the soda fresher and "your tongue can taste the difference."
Rogan then read an article by McDonalds, "Coca-Cola tastes so great at McDonald's: we simply follow the guidelines set by Coca-Cola and take steps to ensure that we serve a high quality Fountain beverage."
He continued, "The water in Coca-Cola syrup are pre-chilled before entering our Fountain dispensers with the ratio syrup set to allow for ice to melt." Rogan reacted, "Oh! So that it doesn't get watered down with the ice so they are making it stronger. That's smart!"
'Sound so interesting!'
Many listeners were drawn in by Rogan and Segura's discussion oon McDonald's Coke. "Joe Rogan is the ultimate talk showman!" said one social media user, adding, "He can make the conversation about McDonald’s burgers sound so interesting!"
Another one agreed with Rogan and said, "Wow he’s so right the coke at McDonald’s feels like acid burning ur heart when you drink it."
One said, "I would literally go to McDonald’s years ago simply for a coke because it tasted better than average coke from stores, I never drank coke unless it was McDonald’s but i think this is something everybody knew they just didn’t question it cause it’s not a huge deal."
A commentator added, "I've been telling my wife about the special Coke formula at McDonald's for years, it's unlike any other we've ever had. Glad that I am not alone in wondering about this topic."
