Gillian Robertson recently appeared on Joe Rogan's podcast show, 'JRE MMA'. During the episode, the two talked about a variety of things, including Robertson's social anxieties. She is a Canadian MMA fighter who fights in the UFC's Strawweight division. She has a professional record of 12 victories and 7 defeats.

She admitted that she feels uneasy in social situations and that socializing with others is difficult for her. Rogan continued their conversation by giving Roberston advice on how to deal with her social anxieties.

'Same way you handle fighting'

Robertson shared her life incidents during the show leaving Rogan amazed. After hearing how challenging Robertson feels about her social anxiety, Rogan recommended that if she treated social situations like fighting, she would grow accustomed to them.

The podcaster said, "Wow, well it's amazing the way you handle fighting." He further added, "You can handle this the same way you handle fighting, you just get comfortable with it."

'Always been the socially awkward kid'

In response to Rogan's advice, Robertson recounted how she was always the "awkward kid" at the back of the class. She said, "Social situations are a lot harder than fighting situations." She continues saying, "It has a 100% [been there since childhood]. I feel like I've always been the socially awkward kid at the back of the class, like the nerds. I still am, at the gym."

She also mentioned that when she first started her profession, she had to appear for numerous interviews and that she had to change her t-shirt after each one since she was sweating profusely because she felt nervous with cameras all around her. She also claimed that she began kickboxing when she was 16 years old. However, she couldn't recall why she decided to start learning the sport.
