Jimmy Kimmel mocks Marjorie Taylor Greene's new book 'MTG' and her 'dumb' Jan 6 committee idea

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Marjorie Taylor Greene, far-right Georgia congresswoman and Donald Trump' cheerleader, is receiving flak for a recent book that she authored and got printed in Canada.

Jimmy Kimmel on his show mocked Taylor Greene's book 'MTG', suggesting it included elements of "revisionist history, conspiracy theories, Jewish space lasers, and even a recipe for gazpacho police in a peach free dish."

He highlighted the book's negative online reviews, attributing them to the irony of telling supporters that reading makes them gay.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'dumbest idea yet'

The host started by saying, "Speaking of Maga in Hell margerie.... Marjorie Taylor Greene released a book today. It's the first book she's ever written or read! and she has called it MTG...it's got a little bit of everything".

Kimmel continued, "It's got some revisionist history; it's got some conspiracy theories; it's got Jewish space lasers and of course marg's Famous Recipe for gazpacho police in a peach free dish".

"The book is getting a lot of negative reviews online which I guess is what happens when you tell your supporters that reading makes them gay," Kimmel mocked.

Kimmel then sarcastically commented on Taylor Greene's call for a new January 6 Select Committee, criticizing her for wanting to investigate the existing committee and labeling it as her "dumbest idea yet."

For context, MTG ha called for a new January 6 Select Committee, urging Speaker Mike Johnson to hold the existing committee, Nancy Pelosi, the FBI, the Department of Justice, and others accountable. She referred to the events of January 6 as the "real big lie".

Kimmel humorously suggested providing her with crayons and a Denny's placemat to express her thoughts instead of writing a book, adding a touch of wit to the critique.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's book hit by negative reviews

According to The Guardian, Greene's book is published by Winning Team Publishing, a company co-founded by Donald Trump Jr.

This publishing firm has also released books by the former president and Kari Lake, the Arizona US Senate candidate known for her denial of election results. When The Guardian obtained a copy of 'MTG', it highlighted a misleading assertion within it.

The book falsely claimed that no Democrats remained in the US House chamber on January 6 to protect it from the rioters who were allegedly instigated by Trump.

The book has not only hit several negative reviews but has also earned less than two-stars on Barnes and Nobles website, as per Newsweek.

Jason Crow, a former soldier and Democratic representative from Colorado who did defend the chamber that day, refuted Greene's claim as "patently false."

On November 20, there was no immediate response from Greene's representatives or Sergio Gor, the co-founder of Winning Team Publishing alongside Donald Trump Jr, regarding inquiries about the decision to have the book printed abroad.

Greene's book, printed in Canada, carries a dedication to her father Robert David Taylor.

Described as a "forgotten American" who did not complete college, he served in the Vietnam War and achieved millionaire status through diligent effort, embodying the essence of the American dream.
