Internet rallies behind Topher Grace and wife for pointed message amid Danny Masterson scandal

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘That '70s Show' star Topher Grace’s wife, Ashley Hinshaw, is receiving accolades from the netizens following Danny Masterson’s sentencing.

While a chunk of the cast members of 'That '70s Show’ voiced their support for Masterson by providing character letters, Grace - who played Eric Forman in the series - walked a different path as he did not provide anything to certify the 47-year-old actor’s nature.

Even the star couple Ashton Kutcher-Mila Kunis sent their letters to Judge Charlaine Olmedo in a display of solidarity toward Masterson so that he could get a lighter sentence.

However, following Masterson’s sentencing, Grace and his wife Hinshaw have been hailed as stars by the Internet for not supporting the actor, who has been accused of rape by at least three women.

Hinshaw, in fact, went a step ahead and showed her solidarity with the rape victims while purportedly shading the stars who sided with Masterson.

She posted a message on her Instagram Story, writing, "To every rape victim that is retraumatized by witnessing society debate and focus their attention on what is going to happen to the RAPIST... I see you."

Who is Ashley Hinshaw?

Ashley Hinshaw, 34, is a model and actress popularly known for her lead role in the 2012 film ‘About Cherry’. She has also appeared in the 2016 Crackle television series ‘StartUp’

She had a flourishing modeling career with her stint with Abercrombie & Fitch for an advertisement. Hinshaw even got to be the judge of the 2008 MTV beauty pageant-based reality TV series ‘Made’.

Hinshaw is a strong advocate for abortion rights and anti-gun violence, frequently posting about the causes on her Instagram. Moreover, it looks like her career goals are well-aligned as she recently graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California.

When it comes to her personal life, Hinshaw and Topher Grace started dating in January 2013 and got married in May 2016. They currently share three children.

Grace announced their third child during an appearance on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ in October 2022.

Netizens 'appreciate' Ashley Hinshaw for showing solidarity toward Danny Masterson’s victims

The Internet showered Topher Grace's wife, Ashley Hinshaw, with love and admiration as she showed her solidarity with the rape victims, with many taking to X (formerly Twitter) to post about it.

A user wrote, "Ashley Hinshaw, Topher Grace’s wife posted in solidarity with victims and I so appreciate and admire her for that, her post was and addressed the issue of only supporting victims when the abuser is not someone you know."

Another summed up, "Meanwhile Ashley Hinshaw, wife of That 70s Show co-star Topher Grace’s just posted supporting “every rape victim” who has been retraumatised. Topher Grace was rumoured to have not been friendly with Danny Masterson and Ashton Kutcher while filming the sitcom."

"Ashley Hinshaw posted this on her story. The timing doesn’t seem to be coincidental. She’s married to Topher Grace of That 70’s Show. He never hung out much with the other cast members for reasons that, in hindsight, seem very understandable. Keep the focus where it belongs," wrote one more.

An admirer noted, "Ashley Hinshaw is the only one who did a comment in support of the survivors."

Someone who was clearly hurt by Masterson's conduct, expressed, "Every Abuser relies on many Enablers. Obviously Danny Masterson could and can rely on Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunas. Lots of Abuse Enablers in Entertainment. Survivors and Victims need more people like Ashley Hinshaw. Well done Ashley."
