LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Leonardo DiCaprio, who has often been criticized for dating women below the age of 25, was once allegedly ditched by a 24-year-old. Blake Lively, of ‘Gossip Girl’ fame was said to be the one who broke up with the ‘Titanic’ star as she “wasn’t ready to move to the next level” with Leonardo DiCaprio. DiCaprio met Lively in 2010 when she auditioned for the role of Daisy Buchanan for ‘The Great Gatsby’. After dating for a few months in 2011, they broke up in October 2011. It was speculated that while the ‘Romeo + Juliet’ star was ready for family, Lively was not. The pair also had an age difference of 13 years.

‘They’re not in the same place right now’
In 2011, after their split, an insider told Us Weekly that ‘The Age of Adaline’ star wasn’t ready for the next step, “Blake wasn’t ready to move to the next level.” The pair, who had a globetrotting romance in 2011, went to numerous romantic getaways including Venice in Italy and Disneyland in the short time span.
The insider further said, “It was just too much, too quickly,” before adding, “Blake wasn’t ready to settle down.” Calling DiCaprio to be the “more mature” of the two, they added, “He’s looking for someone to eventually start a family with…That’s not where she’s at. She’s only 24!” “He’s more mature. They’re not in the same place right now,” claimed the source.
Blake Lively’s marriage to Ryan Reynolds
Quite ironically, Lively married her ‘Green Lantern’ co-star Ryan Reynolds in September 2012 after dating for just a year from October 2011. Since then, the couple has welcomed four children together, named James Reynolds, 8, Inez Reynolds, 6, Betty Reynolds, 3, and a fourth child in February 2023. The couple, who are publicly very vocal about their love, have been going strong since then.
In 2021, Reynolds told Entertainment Tonight about their marriage, "Falling in love is great, but do you like each other? That's kind of the question you've got to ask yourself going into it," before adding, "We've always liked each other. We grow together. We learn from each other. I'm lucky to have a buddy."
