'My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating'

"Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support!" Corinne posted on her Instagram story. She added, "We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!"

Although no new pictures of Foxx were released, the reports earlier suggested that the family was "preparing for the worst." Last week Jamie Foxx broke the silence for the first time since he was hospitalized on April 11 in Atlanta after suffering a "medical complication."

Jamie Foxx's last update

"Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed," he posted on his Instagram on May, 4. Despite the update, there were disturbing reports circulating about his health. He was on the set of Cameron Diaz's Netflix movie, 'Back in Action,' when the health emergency reportedly occurred. Even many celebrities, including Jamie Foxx's friends Nia Long and James Woods, took to social media to pray for his health.

Prayers kept pouring in even on Friday from Foxx's friends

"Man, praying for Jamie Foxx," Kid Cudi wrote on May 11. Actor James Woods, who co-starred with Foxx in 'White House Down,' wrote, "My experience was how amazing he could be as a colleague. When we were shooting 'White House Down,' I had a neck injury during a stunt thing. A few weeks later Jamie and I had a protracted fight scene filmed over several days. I asked him to be careful and he went beyond. It was like ballet! He protected me at every turn while making it look like total mayhem. He put my well-being over every other consideration. I had always greatly admired him as an artist, of course, but I was honored to know him for the kind and caring man he is. #JamieFoxx." Nia Long wrote, "My heart is heavy this morning. Praying for our brother Jamie Foxx. My love and prayers run deep for you and your loved ones. #PrayForJamieFoxx."
