'He nailed it': Fans praise Ed Sheeran over Chucky the Killer Doll Halloween look

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ed Sheeran, like many other celebrities, proudly showcased his Halloween costume on Instagram this year.

His choice of character received the same level of enthusiasm from his fans, who good-naturedly teased the singer about his costume, and his resemblance to it.

In all fairness, Ed, who is 32 years old, decided to dress up as another famous redhead, creating an unintentional resemblance.

Ed Sheeran embraces Halloween as Chucky

On October 31, the 'Eyes Closed' chart-topper shared his Halloween costume on social media, captioning the post, "Happy Halloween from Vegas."

The father of two posted a series of posed photos featuring his transformation into the sinister serial killer doll, Chucky. Chucky is the primary antagonist from the 'Child's Play' horror franchise, making his debut in the original 1988 film.

Ed's costume seemed to be inspired by Chucky's appearance in the current TV series, which serves as a sequel to the seventh film, 'Cult of Chucky', released in 2017.

With a demonic smile, Ed donned a multi-colored striped top and blood-spattered patterned denim dungarees.

His outfit bore the words 'Good Guy', mirroring the brand of the Chucky doll, which is famously voiced by actor Brad Dourif, who is 73 years old.

To complete the look, Ed sported stitches and scars on his face, perfectly resembling the character Chucky. He even provided a side-by-side picture with the infamous doll for comparison.

Ed Sheeran's Halloween post was slightly delayed this year due to his Las Vegas performance on the previous Saturday, where he appeared as Chucky.

During the show, he surprised the audience by inviting Brandon Flowers, the frontman of The Killers, as a special guest.

The duo performed a rendition of The Killers' iconic hit 'Mr. Brightside', which Ed humorously referred to as "essentially like my country's national anthem." They also sang a duet of 'Castle on the Hill' as Ed concluded the US leg of his Mathematics Tour, set to resume in Japan in January.

Internet jokes about Ed Sheeran's Halloween look

Although Ed was thrilled with his costume, fans couldn't resist cracking jokes as pictures of it surfaced on X, formerly Twitter. One fan playfully said, "Cooked. Ed didn't even need the wig."

Another wondered, "Who gave him the advice,"

One quipped, "Look like chucky more than chucky."

"He didn’t even need the costume," commented a fourth fan.

One wrote, "I called it," posting a meme comparing Alice and Chucky from 'Curse of Chucky' to Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.

Yet another stated, "If Chucky became a human this is exactly what it would look like, gotta say Ed Sheeran nailed it."

"Glad he chose to be himself this year," joked another.
