Hannah Waddingham: 'Mission Inpossible' star says eastern medicine helped her get pregnant after western doctor said 'no chance’

LONDON, ENGLAND: 'Mission Impossible' star Hannah Waddingham revealed how she turned to eastern medicine to conceive her daughter after a western doctor told her she had "no chance" of getting pregnant.

The 49-year-old star said that she underwent a medical screening in 2012 before joining a TV show and was informed that she had low fertility.

Hannah Waddingham was told she had "no chance" of getting pregnant

She then consulted a private male doctor who confirmed the diagnosis and offered her chemical treatments.

"He glibly said, 'There’s no chance of you getting pregnant. Your egg count is too low' which then truly put the bit between my teeth,” she told Glamour.

Waddingham said that she was not satisfied with the Western doctor’s approach who she said "was very abrupt and jabbed me with injections."

She added that the doctor "told me to take all these chemicals on the first day of my next period, but I never did."

Hannah Waddingham found a 'very kind' practitioner of Eastern medicine

Waddingham said she is a firm believer that "we earn money for those times when we need it most."

So she found a "very kind" and "positive " practitioner of Eastern medicine who suggested that she needed to adjust her magnesium and copper levels.

“I didn’t even know you have copper in your body!” she exclaimed. He also treated her with acupuncture and Reiki.

She claimed that these methods were more gentle and effective than the injections and tablets that the Western doctor prescribed.

“I was pregnant and I took my baby daughter home from the hospital on my 40th birthday,” she said proudly.

She said she was "blessed" when she realized how precious it is to have a child.

She added, "...Children come to people in all different ways – but without a doubt, my greatest achievement is bringing my magnificent daughter into the world."

Hannah Waddingham said being a single mother is hard

However, she admitted that being a mother in her forties was not easy, especially as a single parent.

She separated from her daughter’s father when their child was two-and-a-half years old, but they remained on good terms.

“It’s quite exhausting. One of the greatest acting jobs in my life is pretending I have energy to my daughter!” she confessed.

She said when her daughter tells her, “Oh, let’s do this or let’s do that, mumma,” my whole body goes, ‘Oh my God, really."
