LONDON, ENGLAND: The unstoppable Gordon Ramsay continues to set new milestones as he celebrated the launch of his new London restaurant with his rarely-seen wife and daughter. The celebrity chef posted a heartwarming family snap to mark his latest career achievement.

Gordon, 56, was joined by his wife Tana Ramsay, 48, and daughter Holly Ramsay, 23, as they celebrated the opening. The Michelin star chef donned a crisp blue shirt and checked waistcoat as he was seated between his wife and daughter. Tana donned a sweet green jacket while their daughter Holly oozed glamor in a black strappy dress. The family attended the launch of the new eatery before heading to one of his other establishments for fish and chips.

New launch

"Such a great launch at the new restaurant, followed by delicious fish & chips at The River Restaurant," Gordon wrote on Instagram as he shared a snap with his loved ones. "Thank you to all the amazing team and Afroditi Studio for turning the Savoy Grill into one of the most elegant and stunning dining rooms anywhere."

Holly responded in the comments section, "I love you both so much," and later shared a photo of herself from what she called an "After after party."

Ramsay's parenting style

Gordon and Tana have five children together, namely Megan, 24, 23-year-old twins Jack and Holly, Tilly, 21, and Oscar, 4, who was born in April 2019. The 'Hell's Kitchen' star has been rather candid about his parenting style and wants his children to forge their own paths in life. He said he won't be leaving his fortune to his children despite being worth millions following a series of successful restaurants and cooking shows.

"It's definitely not going to them, and that's not in a mean way, it's to not spoil them," Gordon told The Telegraph in 2017. "The only thing I've agreed with Tana is that they get a 25% deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat." The TV personality also doesn't hand out money freely and enforces strict limits for his children. "Meg's at university and has a budget of £100 ($125) a week; the others get about £50 ($62) a week and they have to pay for their own phones and their bus fare," he said. "The earlier you give them that responsibility to save for their own trainers and jeans, the better."

In fact, the Ramsay children also do housework for their pocket money, including tidying up after each family dinner. "It's important they help set and clear the tables, it's important they cook, it's important they do their homework," he added. Gordon said he didn't want to spoil his children and that meant not giving them anything without them having to work for it. Even if they want to get into the culinary industry, he would rather have them work for another chef and not him.

Gordon also divulged that their children travel economy while he and Tana fly first class. "I turn left with Tana and they turn right and I say to the chief stewardess: 'Make sure those little f***ers don’t come anywhere near us, I want to sleep on this plane,'" he quipped to The Telegraph.
