NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ host Robin Roberts recently celebrated the 49th birthday of her fiancee Amber Laign only a few days before the two are set to tie the knot.
The 62-year-old ‘GMA’ host has been with Laign for nearly 18 years with the duo announcing that they will be getting married earlier in 2023.
The wedding is scheduled for Friday, September 8, 2023, but the ‘GMA’ star seemed to be basking in her last days of singlehood with Laign.
Roberts threw a small and intimate party in Laign’s honor and shared a brief clip of her standing before the cake, asking her fiancee to make a wish which, as per her, has “already come true.”

The ‘GMA’ star took to Instagram to share yet another sweet moment from her life.
It was Laign’s 49th birthday and the last one as an unmarried woman. Roberts posted a clip on her Instagram where she was seen right beside Laign with her hands on her shoulders in support.
Laign stood in front of her candle-lit birthday cake smiling as Roberts told her this was her "last birthday as a single woman.”
Roberts then asked Laign to make a "birthday wish.” But before she could do that, the TV star joked that Laign’s wish had "already come true" as she gestured to herself.
Roberts's joke caused Laign and the other people in the room who were off-camera to laugh.
Later, Roberts shared the moment on Instagram and captioned the post, “Big week for Sweet Amber! Before we exchange our wedding vows later this week…tonight a special Birthday celebration.”
Fans jumped in to wish Laign. Many also displayed their excitement over the upcoming wedding through their comments.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the ‘GMA’ star shared a final update with her fans and followers where she ended the mystery surrounding her wedding date.
She tweeted, “T-Minus 1 week until the big day… of course, still have time to say Rabbit Rabbit.”
This confirmed that her wedding will take place on Friday, September 8, and fans rushed to congratulate Roberts on the upcoming nuptials.
