'Getting crazier by the day': Jimmy Kimmel slams Trump after ex-POTUS blames Israeli officials for crisis

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: If Donald Trump's presidency taught the global population one thing, it's that the former reality star has a penchant for expressing controversial opinions.

Per Jimmy Kimmel, this inclination was vividly evident on Wednesday night, as instead of addressing the Hamas attack on Israel, Trump chose to criticize Israel.

At a rally in West Palm Beach, Trump delivered what Kimmel termed "a doozy of a speech," unleashing a barrage of anti-Israel sentiments to a fervent crowd of his unwavering supporters.

Kimmel attacks Donald Trump

Kimmel started his Trump segment by saying, "Donald Trump...um saying...um...even it's getting crazier by the day. Last night he addressed the horrific terrorist attack on Israel by attacking Israel."

Calling Trump 'Captain Bones Spur', Kimmel said, “Hamas would never have gone into Israel if his election hadn’t been rigged; he called Israel’s defense minister a jerk; he did some ax-grinding about Netanyahu; and had some complimentary words about Israel’s enemies in Lebanon."

“He’s really angling for that Nobel Piece of Shit Prize,” Kimmel observed.

'Trump never said he was smart'

Trump's outspoken comments prompted Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi to respond, delivering a sharp retort: "We don't have to bother with him and the nonsense he spouts."

Jimmy Kimmel, however, countered this sentiment, stating, "Unfortunately, we do have to bother with it".

He then played a clip of Trump praising Hezbollah as "very smart" and acknowledged that he would likely face criticism for such a statement.

Rather than retracting or providing additional context, Trump doubled down on these unpopular opinions by recalling the time he referred to Chinese President Xi Jinping as "very smart" as well.

"Poor Eric," quipped Kimmel, adding, "Trump never said he was smart".

'Trump is actually a good comedian'

Kimmel's views were echoed in social media comments as one user took a dig at Trump, saying, "Trump is actually a good comedian, NATO laughed at his speech".

Another wrote, "Whoever the writer is that came up with Drunk Trump..".

One suggested, "They should play Jimmy’s monologues on Newsmax, OAN, and FOXNEWS on a loop for a week. This will definitely expedite Trump’s impending aneurysm, hopefully."

Praises were also in for Kimmel with one saying, "Love you Jimmy Kimmel, your show is terrific. Best talk show on the air, welcome back Jimmy Kimmel."

Another quipped, "Ha ha, loved the drunk trump piece, very funny," while the next comment read, "Great great show jimmy, keep them coming."
