LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Courteney Cox is the latest ‘Friends’ star to pay an emotional tribute to Matthew Perry, who died on October 28, aged 54.

He was discovered unresponsive in a hot tub at his Pacific Palisades home, and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office announced that his cause of death has been "deferred," with the investigation deemed "ongoing" by officials.

Perry gained prominence with his role as Chandler Bing on the hit 90s sitcom 'Friends'.

Cox, who played Chandler Bing's love interest, Monica Geller, remarked on the beginning of the two's onscreen romance by posting a video of an iconic scene along with a playful outtake.

Courteney Cox remembers the moments she spent with Matthew Perry

Taking to her Instagram, Courteney Cox wrote, "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day."

She continued, "When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favorites."

In the post, she attached a clip from the scene from the time when Chandler Bing and Monica Geller hooked up in London while attending Ross Geller's wedding.

"To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story," explained Cox.

Sharing a touching moment from 'Friends' filming, she concluded, "In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."

Recently, Perry's former ‘Friends’ co-star Matt LeBlanc paid tribute to him on Instagram.

LeBlanc, who played Chandler Bing's best friend Joey Tribbiani on the show, shared a photo of the ‘Friends’ cast embracing Perry at the finale taping in 2004.

He wrote, "It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never."

LeBlanc signed off on a humorous note, stating, "Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me."

'Friends' co-stars issued a joint statement following Matthew Perry's death

Following Matthew Perry's untimely death, ‘Friends’ actors Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, and Courteney Cox issued a joint formal statement.

They told People Magazine, "We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."

"In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world," explained the stars.

On November 3, Perry's funeral was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles, and his co-stars from ‘Friends’ attended the ceremony. Notably, the cemetery is located opposite Warner Bros Studios, where ‘Friends’ was filmed for all 10 seasons.

It is also the final resting place of numerous Hollywood stars, including Carrie Fisher, Bette Davis, Stan Laurel, Buster Keaton, Michael Hutchence (INXS frontman), Paul Walker, Brittany Murphy, and Anne Heche.
