Did Karine Jean-Pierre lie? New reports claim Biden family was at the White House before cocaine find

WASHINGTON, DC: A fresh smoking gun has been uncovered that entirely rebuffs a key White House lie regarding the shocking cocaine discovery. The illicit drugs were discovered in the West Wing by a member of the Secret Service during routine rounds of the building on Sunday, July 2. The area is frequently visited by only the members of the Biden administration, White House staff, and numerous journalists.

Following an investigation, officials asserted that President Joe Biden was not present in the White House in the days leading to the discovery as he was celebrating the Fourth of July with his entire family in Camp David in Maryland. On Friday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also doubled down on the claims while angrily responding to a reporter's question about whether the cocaine belonged to a member of the Biden family. She noted that the entire Biden family left on Friday and did not return until Tuesday.

'I'll just leave it there'

They were not here Friday. They were not here Saturday. They were not here Sunday. They were not even here Monday. They came back on Tuesday. So to ask that question is actually incredibly irresponsible. And I'll just leave it there," she said. But in contrast to Jean-Pierre’s claims, news reports stated that the entire Biden family was in town ahead of the cocaine discovery. Citing a fresh pool report, Fox News reported that Biden delivered a speech in the Roosevelt Room that afternoon, but didn't depart the White House for Camp David until 6:34 pm, along with First Lady Jill Biden, Hunter Biden, and Hunter's son Beau Biden.

The secret service has launched a desperate investigation into the cocaine discovery but has yet not discovered any concrete evidence leading to the culprit who brought the drugs inside the White House. The investigators previously cautioned that it could be difficult to apprehend the perpetrator due to the size of the bag and the number of people who would have had access to the area. According to the official, the Secret Service is using visitation records, security footage, and the bag's examination to try and further their investigation.

'Hunter Biden's acts of criminality'

These news claims came after Ted Cruz asserted that a senior White House staff member, not Hunter Biden, is to responsible for the cocaine that was found on White House grounds. ''You know, my guess is it probably isn't Hunter's,'' said Cruz, speaking on Friday's episode of his podcast, Verdict. ''I don't know that, obviously. We know that Hunter has a drug problem. We know that he has used cocaine and use crack cocaine in the past. But I doubt Hunter Biden is going in the West Wing all that often and going in that entrance all that often,’' the Texas Senator continued.

He later noted that a ''senior Biden official' was responsible for the cocaine scandal. ''I think it is in all likelihood someone who works in the Biden administration, some senior Biden official, which makes the cover-up all that the more astonishing,'' he continued. Cruz also expressed amazement that the Secret Service had not yet identified the perpetrator. ''That's insane,'' he said. ''And the only reason they would put out a statement saying we will never know who it was, is the same reason why the DOJ and the FBI are engaged in a cover-up of Hunter Biden's acts of criminality, of Joe Biden's acts of criminality.''
