‘Busted’: Internet blasts ‘RHONJ’ star Joe Gorga as he assures reimbursement for fake show tickets, claims he got 'scammed'

MONTVILLE, NEW JERSEY: Joe Gorga, a star from 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey', recently took to Instagram to address a situation involving his name being used to promote a comedy show that, as he revealed, turned out to be a scam with no actual event taking place.

Allegedly, tickets were sold under the name of "Brad Garrett's Comedy Club” according to Joe and his friends. Joe, however, assured fans that refunds would be provided to those who were deceived and had made payments.

However, this raised questions and confusion on the internet, as it seemed contradictory that he, too, was claiming to be scammed while guaranteeing refunds.

The mechanism behind this arrangement puzzled many, as Joe might not have the authority to issue refunds himself.

"The scammer is reimbursing folks? I don’t understand… who will be doing the reimbursement?" one user asked. "HE is the scam. Always has been," another commented.

"How do you know the $$ will@be returned? You know the scammers I guess lol," a third user said. "He got scammed but is able to issue refunds? What?" asked another while a fifth declared, "Lies, always blames someone else."

Yet another person speculated, "So it was a scam but he’s able to confirm people are going to get a refund? So how does that work? If Joe also got scammed he’d have no access to issue refunds, unless he’s in on it and got caught!"

"If getting busted was a person," wrote another, laughing, while an eighth added, "How is the scammer returning money …. I think we know who the scammers are 3 stooges and their coach meliar"

‘RHONJ’ Star Joe Gorga’s tax fraud lands him in prison

Former 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' cast member Joe Giudice, Teresa Giudice's ex-husband, has raised allegations that Joe and Melissa Gorga were "involved" with federal authorities concerning the tax fraud scheme that led to his Teresa Giudice's imprisonment.

Joe admitted to "cheating" on his tax returns but placed the blame on his former accountant for neglecting to file his personal tax returns alongside his business documents.

In 2013, both Joe and Teresa were found guilty of federal fraud charges and subsequently served time in prison. Initially, Teresa, a founding member of 'RHONJ', began her 15-month prison sentence in January 2015 and experienced early release in December of the same year.

In contrast, Joe commenced his 41-month sentence in March 2016 and, three years later, faced deportation to his native Italy.

Additionally, the couple confronted bankruptcy fraud charges until March 2019. Teresa, on her part, underwent an 11-month prison sentence, which spanned from January to December 2015.

According to Joe, if he had been a US citizen, his tax fraud conviction and sentencing would have amounted to "nothing," per InTouch Weekly. This controversial revelation unfolded on the 'Behind the Velvet Rope' podcast.

‘RHONJ’ Star Joe Gorga gets called out for lying about fake ‘house flipping’ pictures

Joe Gorga once again stirred up a social media frenzy with his Instagram post related to his house-flipping business.

The post featured "before" and "after" photos of a renovated house, claiming it as his own work. However, some sharp-eyed Instagram users pointed out inconsistencies, including a Park Ridge, NJ woman who asserted that her house was the "after" one, and the "before" house was located at a different address in the same town.

Following swift internet backlash and accusations of misleading posts, Joe Gorga was prompt in issuing an apology. Recognizing the online scrutiny and backlash, he took responsibility for the confusing content and expressed regret for any misunderstanding caused by his earlier social media posts.

Gorga eventually clarified that he had indeed worked on the gray home pictured in the "after" photo, admitting he was a private lender who had funded the project.
